What if Orlando, the bravest warrior of Charlemagne’s army, fell in love with Angelica, the princess of Saracens, and went crazy for love?
What if both Charlemagne’s and Saracen Agramante’s army fell in love with Angelica and decided to stop fighting the war? It happens that the war stops for a while and all the paladins, both Saracen and Christian, start a journey through Europe and beyond. They meet sorcerers, witchcrafts, enchanted labyrinths, winged stallions; but most of all they fight bump into each other and into love, friendship, grief, hope, madness… they bump into all the mysteries of life. Life that sometimes is taken by war and death. Finally, our heroes will join force in order to find Orlando’s mind. This play is an adaptation from Boiardo’s and Ariosto’s masterpieces, the latter of which celebrated its 500th anniversary in 2016.
